Europe favours CSA(Cross Sectional Area), whilst in US it's AWG(American Wire Guage). CSA is quoted in square  millimetres, (mm2). If the box under a particular category is empty, then there is no exact equivalent for that category. NOTE: The CSA figures quoted are exact for each guage, and so you may find that 1mm could substitute for 17 AWG and 18 SWG if you come across it. Wire manufactured in CSA sizes tends to come in fixed sizes such as 0.5 mm, 1.3 mm 1.5mm etc. and not in the precise measurements listed here.
