Sci-bore reference system rationale.

Sci-bore's part numbering system for basic nozzles is based upon mm dimensions of the wire guide nozzle as shown in the illustration below.

The bore size is multiplied by 100 and the rest of the dimensions are multipled by 10.

For nozzles without cut-down, the dimensions of the cutdown part are substituted by "0"s.

The following is an approximate guideline for selecting the nozzle bore size. In special circumstances, such as thin wall thicknesses, or small wall thickness/bore ratio, or for use with litz, skeined, ribbon or flat wire, this would need to be amended. Please contact us.

0.01mm to 0.40mm	Wire size X 2 = bore	Minimum 0.3mm
0.41mm to 0.80mm	Wire size X 1.5= bore
0.81mm to 1.50mm	Wire size + 0.5 = bore
